Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out, she was ranked second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then went to the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 secs. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 throughout her events during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
