Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her races.
