Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born
August 26 2002. He is also known as Lil Tecca. He rose to mainstream fame due
to the release of the 2019 single "Ransom" which was a top 4 hit on
the Billboard Hot 100. The song was part of his mixtape debut "We Love You
Tecca" (2019) that peaked at the 4th spot on the US Billboard 200. It also
contained the two singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". His
debut album, Virgo world (2020) was released on the Billboard 200 at number 10.
It also featured the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly",
as well as "When You Down". His second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2,
was released in August 2021 which included "Repeat It" and "Lot
of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is a Jamaican native, immigrated to
the United States in Queens on August 26, 2002. Sharpe was raised in
Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens and later moved to Cedarhurst in
Long Island. From an early age, Sharpe had aspirations of being in the NBA
however, after the age of 12 Sharpe began to turn his attention to pursue a
career in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. When Tecca was just nine
years old, he responded to his love of music by rapping along with his friends
using his Xbox. One of their diss tracks was posted to SoundCloud some time ago
however it has since been deleted. At first, he didn't intend to pursue an
artistic career, but wanted to be an NBA superstar. In his middle school years
however, he started to lose interest in basketball and started taking music
seriously. The first single he released, "Tectri", which became
popular in early 2017 was made with Lil Gummybear and released in
collaboration. Lil Gummybear. Other tracks by Tecca comprise "Callin"
as well as "Tectri". His hit single "Ransom," which was
first uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22
2019 started the meteoric rise of Tecca. It reached number 4 on the Billboard
Hot 100 charts and was played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than
300 million times on YouTube.
